North Goa is developed. Capital Panaji and the airport is situated in central Goa. North Goa has beaches like Calangute beach, Baga beach, Candolim beach, Boghdeshwara temple, Chorao Diver Island, Fort Aguada, church of Mae de Deus, some water activities, cultural buildings, street markets etc.
South Goa
South Goa has Patolem, Polem,Butterfly, Agonda, St.Xavier’s church and many other luxury resorts. Here you can also find some waterfalls like Dudhsagar waterfall, Tambdi Surla falls, Arvalem waterfall etc. There are many tourist places in Goa.

Chapora Fort:
Goa has many forts that will never bore you,especially when you are a history lover.Make a visit to these forts to learn the History of this small coastal state.Chapora fort is very famous for its history. This is a major tourist attraction in Goa.This fort was built in 1617,by Adil Shah of Bijapur.
Some time before, a bollywood movie called “Dil Chahta Hai” was shot in this fort. From these forts you can explore a wide view of the Arabian Sea. Some nearby attractions are Anjuna beach and Vagator beach. This fort is well connected with the road. One can be easily reached here by road. If you want to visit here you don’t need any entry fee.
Aguada Fort:
This fort was built in 1609 to 1612 by the Portuguese.You can visit here every day from 9 am in the morning to 6:30 pm in the evening. On the northern side a brown laterite just enters the bay to form a jetty between two small sandy coves This spot is called Sinquerim beach.
This fort is situated on the Aguada siolim Rd and this fort can be easily reached by using road. Goa sightseeing is incomplete without seeing or visiting fort Aguada. If you want to visit here you don’t need any entry fee.
Bom Jesus Basilica:
This is the most famous tourist place in Goa. It has an architecture called Baroque architecture. The beautiful detailing,carve will simply blow your mind. From Panaji it is 10 kilometres. You can take a taxi. From Panaji a taxi takes 20 minutes to reach here. It was built in 1608 to 1612 by the Portuguese. This church is open Monday to Saturday 9 am in the morning to 6:30 pm in the evening and Sunday 10 am in the morning to 6:30 pm in the evening. If you want to visit this church you don’t need any entry fee.
Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary:
Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is a mangrove forest. This sanctuary is a great place in Goa. Here you can spot some amazing species such as black drongo and mudskipper etc. This sanctuary is open every day from 6 am in the morning to 6 pm in the evening. If you want to visit here then simply hire a taxi or a cab from the capital Panaji. The total distance is 58 kilometres.
Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary:
This is the smallest wildlife sanctuary in Goa. This is also a popular tourist place in Goa. Here you can spot a variety of flora and fauna.Here you can also spot some species. One can explore the deer safari park, the botanical gardens and many more.This is a popular place for wildlife photographers. Everyday it is open from 9 am in the morning to 5 pm in the evening. Monday is closed. If you want to visit here then simply hire a taxi or a cab from the capital Panaji. The total distance is 34.3 kilometres.
Baga Beach:
This beach is the major tourist attraction in Goa. The beautiful waves will just blow your mind. Here you can do many activities like parasailing, banana boat rides etc. Here are some beach side cafes where you can enjoy delicious food.
Butterfly Beach:
In the north of the Palolem beach you can explore the butterfly beach. Those who are searching for peace, this place is for them. This beach is surrounded by a lot of rocks and boulders. Here you can enjoy some rides like paddle boats. During paddling boats on the way you can enjoy many dolphins.
